and make sure it's not April 1st, because I just read this.

ANNE HATHAWAY as Catwoman?

Tom Hardy as BANE?

Never in a million years would I have thought Christopher Nolan would use Bane.

Nor did it ever occur to me that Anne Hathaway would land Catwoman. She may of course end up being fantastic, but I have to admit that I'm shocked with both of these announcements and quite frankly if these hadn't come from Warner Bros directly, I would have disregarded them as ridiculous fake rumors.

ETA:

Oh, and the Hollywood Reporter announced recently that Talia will be a character in the film as well. Catwoman AND Talia in one movie. That is crazy, but awesome. I guess I can still hold out hope that Rachel Weisz will be cast as Talia? She was my number 1 choice for Catwoman since before TDK came out, and she and Bale would look great together.

Is anyone here a member of BookCrossing.com?

I am trying to start up a BookRay for Memoirs of a Geisha. If you aren't familiar with BookCrossing, a BookRay is when you send your book to someone, and then they read it and send it on to the next person who wants it, and so on until everyone who signed up for the Ray gets to read it. The last person who gets it is free to pass it on to someone they know or donate it to charity.

Well I guess everyone on BookCrossing has already read Memoirs of a Geisha because so far I have gotten one person to sign up, from the UK.

The details and rules of my particular BookRay are here.

Would anyone be interested in signing up?

All DVDs are official Region 1, store-bought sets from my collection. No bootlegs or copies. All come in their original cases. Discs are in good shape. Some of the cases look like new, some show more obvious wear. Will provide details and photos on individual DVDs upon hearing serious interest.

I am sure that all of these DVDs are in fine working order. However, if you find any of them do not work properly, you may return for a full refund. I have 100% positive feedback on eBay.

Shipping costs will be based on actual weight. I will charge exactly what the Post Office charges me, no handling fees. Will ship Media Mail or Priority Mail, your choice. Faster shipping options available if necessary. I accept PayPal, check, or money order.

I would prefer to sell Season/Volume sets as a group if I have more than one season/volume listed for a particular show, but I will consider all offers.

Please make your best offer, thanks. Comment or e-mail amara_anon@hotmail.com. :)

Just want to spread the word about care_faith_hope which is auctioning off a variety of items for charity. People are auctioning books, homemade foods and crafts, fanfic/fanart/fanvid/icon requests, beta services, jewelry, clothes, even a tour of the Jim Henson Studios, and more!

You can also set up your own auction if you would like to help that way too. I know there are plenty of talented people on my Flist who may be interested in auctioning off a 1000-word fanfic or something along those lines.

I've got a $25 Hot Topic gift card that I'm not going to use. Anyone want to buy it for like $20? I can mail it to you, or if you want to use it at hottopic.com right away, I can e-mail you the code. If you don't normally shop there, you could use it for a DVD or something. Thanks to manonlechat I found a site to buy it.

In other news, woohoo, new House tonight! :D

And I am so glad Michael Emerson won the Emmy for Lost last night. He really deserved it. :)

Was nice to see glimpses of Jemaine Clement and Andy Serkis, too, even if they didn't win their categories.

Thanks to everyone who's bought comics from me! I'm so glad some of my comics could end up in the hands of real people who will enjoy them instead of some company.

The web site finally approved the list of comics I submitted to them, so I will be shipping off a huge chunk of comics to them soon.

I updated all my lists to show what's left for sale. Everything still available is open to offers. Get 'em before I start resorting to eBay. :)

What do I have that's newly listed? Some Batman graphic novels, including JOKER by Brian Azzarello and Batman No Man's Land Volume 2.

Fresh from the comic book store, I've got the new Muppet Show Comic Book: Meet The Muppets trade paperback which collects issues #1-4 of the current Muppet Show series. I've also got some Muppets comic strip book collections from the '80s.

Everything's listed at the Comics For Sale tag. Thanks, guys. :)

Shipping Costs:

For shipping, I will only charge what the post office charges me. No handling fees. Your choice of Media Mail or Priority Mail shipping.

Media Mail prices are here, Priority Mail prices are here.

For packages less than 3.5 ounces, I can ship First Class which is super cheap.

8 comics = 1 pound.
5 comics with bags & boards = 1 pound.

How This List is Set Up:

Titles are listed alphabetically.

The list is set up as Title, Year Title Started Publication (not necessarily the year the issue came out), Issue Number, Possible Grade such as NM (ignore this, it is just copy/pasted from the web site).

Comic Book Grades:

I am not a comic book grader. Some of these comics have been read once, then kept bagged and boarded, and are probably Near Mint. Some of these comics were not kept bagged and boarded and are probably not Near Mint. They are good reading copies from a non-smoking home. If I notice anything damaged, I will tell you before you pay.

How to Buy:

Comment here with your e-mail address or e-mail me at amara_anon@hotmail.com and tell me what you want, how you want it shipped, and if you want any bags & boards. (Bags & boards will be 20 cents each.) I will e-mail you the total cost and arrange for payment.

You can pay by PayPal, Check, or Money Order. (I will wait for checks to clear before shipping though.)

I have 100% positive feedback as a seller on eBay, Amazon, and as a trader on Swaptree, and can give you links to my feedback if needed. I am used to shipping items out fast.

Questions?

Feel free to ask any questions. I am happy to answer questions about what characters, stories, writers, artists are featured in any issues.

If you are simply looking for a certain character/writer/artist, ask and I will tell you what issues I have featuring them.

Please Note:

A few issues I have more than one copy of, so if someone already claims something you want, just ask, I may have another copy available.

I will do my best to update this list quickly and delete any items that I no longer have.

Also, if you don't want any specific issues but just want to get a bunch of cheap comics, let me know and we can work something out. Like say you want 20, 50, or 100 issues picked randomly from your choice of Marvel, DC, Archie, etc., or if you want 50 random Batman comics or 20 random Archie digests, just ask! :)

Inception @ Yahoo! Video

I think the tagline should be

Inception: This is some crazy shit.

I love it, a brilliant trailer. Nolan can be more original and captivating with a minute of screentime than most movies are in their entirety. Finally, a story that doesn't look like something you've seen 50 million times before or something you can figure out immediately.

So, IS Cillian Murphy the one being dragged away by the helicopter?

The Lost panel sounds like it was EPIC in its hilarity and surprise guests. A fake video of Michael Emerson's audition for Hurley?! God, I hope someone puts that up on YouTube!

Spoilers from the panelCollapse )

Unrelated to Lost, but so cool I gotta mention it, at the animation panel they said that on Valentine's Day they are going to release Beauty and the Beast in 3-D. Although the 3-D aspect could very well be awesome, I am most excited just at the fact that I will get the chance to see this movie in theaters! I don't think I saw it in theaters as a kid... if I did, I don't remember it.

I've yet to see a movie with the new 3-D technology actually.

I hope this is the beginning of Disney re-releasing more of its classic 2-D films in theaters. I would love to see Aladdin and The Little Mermaid again on the big screen, especially.

At Comic-Con, Gary Oldman said the next Batman movie starts filming next year!

Sooo relieved that Christopher Nolan is moving forward on this.
